Loving Lace and Fringe

I thought this was a fun outfit. Mixing lace, fringe and glitter. I love wearing black, but I'm going to have to start wearing some colors soon. It is spring! I'm looking forward to the warmer weather, even though fall is my favorite season.

I know you might be thinking is it ok to mix all these different styles? Lace? Fringe? Glitter? I say yes!! It all goes together and makes for a fun outfit. I don't like boring or blending in as you might be able to tell with my boots.

I paired this outfit with a denim jacket for a cool casual look. 

I love that this denim jacket is fitted and not baggy as some of them are.

Pleated Flowered Midi Skirt

I was going through my closet and contemplating what to pair my pink heels with, when there it was in all of it's flowered grandeur this skirt I recently received from Make Me Chic. Now mind you I am not exactly runway tall so a high waist midi skirt needs to fit just right to look good.  Luckily this one is just the right fit. 

Autumn may be upon us and the air at your local Starbucks has the aroma of pumpkin spice, it is still the perfect time for big bright flowers. I just love how this skirt has a simple black and white stripe pattern with these amazingly vibrant flowers on it. I hope you can see the details as it is truly stunning. 

This is a great picture of the shoes that started the outfit. I feel you should always start at the shoes.  

What I love about these Brian Atwood high heels is the platform on the front. By adding some height to front, the heel needs to be longer, what a dramatic statement. Really gives the legs some length. Of course it was the color of the shoes that brought me to the skirt.  

How fun is this. I feel like I need to find someone important and curtsy. 

Make Me Chic really designed this skirt well. There is an attached slip and pleats in the dress which add to the great bell shaped fullness right below the cinching at the waist. By doing so, attention is immediately drawn to the narrowing of the waist.

This is a great skirt for a fancy luncheon. If it is a little cooler you could definitely pair it with a black cardigan. I would also wear a clutch with this skirt as opposed to a bigger bag. Strappy heels would be another great option for the perfect shoes to wear.

How I got Curls For Days

This product has changed my life. I don't have super straight hair, but it's definitely not curly. When I curl my hair it usually goes straight in about 3 hours. Go Curlier kept my hair curled for 2 days!! It is not sticky or heavy. And smells nice too. The product is activated by the heat in your curling iron or your hot curlers. I can't recommend Go Curler enough. It's definitely a winner!!

Steve Madden Cobalt Blue Fringe Boots

Fringe is one of the hottest fashions for the Fall/Winter Season. It was a hot style last summer as well, so I also have the sandals that are similar to these boots. Anyway, more about these fabulous boots! The are hot! So much fun to wear. I get compliments all day everyday I wear them. The color is so bright and amazing too. These boots are perfection! And are quite comfortable too.

This is a perfect look for fall in Los Angeles. When it gets colder you just put on a leather jacket or light coat with this outfit and you are ready to go. 

 

I really love mixing the studs on the bag with the fringe on the shoes. Super cute!

Denim Dress

Here we are at the tail end of another summer. The evenings are getting cooler and we are starting to feel a little autumn crispness in the air. With the change in seasons there is a need to do some shopping. My friends over at Shabby Apple gave me a terrific opportunity to feature one of their fabulous items. I couldn't resist this perfect denim dress. Thanks for the dress Shabby Apple!!

The denim dress is certainly a very chic transitional piece, easily taking you into fall style. The denim dress is one of the most versatile and stylish pieces you can have in your closet right now. The reason is simple, with it you are not committing to any one season. You can definitely layer it as it gets colder.

This denim dress can be feminine or have a "cooler" look to it. You could pair it with a cardigan or a leather jacket like I did below. A cardigan would give it a more feminine look, while the leather jacket can add some attitude.

Shabby Apple has taken all the aspects of denim and designed a perfect dress. I love how this dress fits and doesn't use a tie or belt to show off the waist. A simple full length zipper is the only embellishment needed. By making it run the entire length of the dress in the center it easily draws the eyes to the middle creating a great silhouette.

Denim's bestie is a pair boots. I knew right away I had the perfect pair of booties. I just had to bring in a little more attitude and make sure the toes were studded on the booties. The studded purse really brings things together.

A simple leather jacket went perfect with this outfit. I love the way it does not distract from the outfit, but just adds another layer of cool.

Spring Trend: The Pineapple T-Shirt

I was recently introduced to a fabulous fashion line called SheIn. They have everything from dresses to accessories everything a fashionable girl could ever want. While perusing through the website I came across what is sure to be one of the most iconic images of this spring and summer season.  The always fun Pineapple T-shirt. 

The pineapple is as much a symbol of laid back good times as the pink flamingo.  So whether you like your pineapples freshly chopped, from the can, or rummed up in a frothy umbrella drink made by a Bermuda short wearing mixologist the season of the Pineapple is upon us.  

SheIn got it right with (as I suspect they usually do) this homage to our favorite tropical fruit. 

The shirt goes perfect with your favorite jeans or a pair of shorts.  I have paired it with

rich blue denim jeans and a simple white denim jacket. The heather gray color of the T-shirt goes with anything, but let's remember the focal point is the pineapple, so I wanted to just keep it simple and fun.  Of course some glitter sneakers are always a great way to add an extra dash of style to any casual outfit. 

Remember in Hawaii the pineapple is a symbol of welcome and hospitality, so if you are the host of your summer soiree be sure to wear your pineapple.
