Star Sneakers!!

It's a beautiful day out in sunny Southern California. I do appreciate the beautiful weather, though I wish it would have been a little chilly during the holidays.
I received these super cool high tops as a gift from Daddy's Money Shoes. I am so in love with them. They are totally comfortable and very cool. They also have a 2 in. platform in the heel to give shorties like me a little extra height. Love it!! I thought it would be cute to go matchy-matchy pairing the shoes with my star sweater.

I love the purple soles!

Thank you for stopping by!! I love all your comments!

Christmas on Rodeo Dr.

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is take a stroll down Rodeo Dr. at night to see all the decorations lit up. It is so beautiful. These pictures were taken at Via Rodeo which is a shopping strip on Rodeo Dr.

I immediately fell in love with this cute little reindeer. Who could resist?!

The large building in the back is the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. (Where Pretty Woman was filmed.)

I love this tree with all the red bows!

What girl doesn't love Tiffany's!

Holiday Time at South Coast Plaza

This past weekend, we had the chance to venture out to Orange County to my absolute favorite mall.  South Coast Plaza, which in general, is one of the classiest malls in existence. It is so beautiful especially during the holidays.  I thought I would post some pictures from my visit so you could all get a chance to see the festive decorations throughout the mall.

My favorite place to visit inside the mall is their exclusive Access Lounge. It is such a treat to go in and relax with a glass of champagne and just be pampered! The staff is amazing, professional and friendly, and the ambiance is elegant and festive. Look how beautiful everything is!
Look at this beautiful tree in the Access Lounge.

The tree on the right side is decorated entirely with Swarovski ornaments.

We attended the Nordstrom Holiday Party! What a great time! There was champagne and yummy treats to snack on.

Festive Holiday Accessories

Last year at Nordstom my husband introduced me to getting my shoes shined. At first I thought why bother....I could just drop them off at the shoe maker. But it really is a fun and cool experience. If nothing else, just sitting up on the bench looking out at all the shoppers is fun! But seriously, my boots looked amazing!!

The window display at Dior was just breathtaking.

This is the South Coast Plaza Tree! It is displayed across the street from the mall in front of the Westin South Coast Plaza. I love to go take a little staycation there and get a room with a view of the tree. Absolutely amazing!! You can see pictures from last years tree lighting party here. By the way, this year's tree is 96 feet tall!

Thanks for stopping by!! Please leave me some comments!! They make my day!!
Happy Holidays!!

Cool Gifts for Guys Gift Guide

I thought who better to write a gift guide for cool guys better than the coolest guy I know....The Hubs. So he is taking over the blog today!

O.K., here it is, I am the Hubs. When first asked to put together a gift guide for my little socialite, first thing I thought was I have not written a letter to Santa since I was a kid. Well here it is, a grown up version of my Santa letter. After I put together my list, the first question any self respecting fashionably attired wife would ask was "What! No clothes?". Well this is my list and here are the reasons why I feel these items would make a unique and great holiday gift for any man.

1. The Dropcatch Bottle opener - It does not matter if he has a deluxe mancave, a corner bar, or just a small patch of wall on the balcony next to his barbecue at some point he will get some fancy beer that does not provide the convenience of a twist off cap.  For such an occasion, he needs a bottle opener. The Dropcatch uses a magnet to catch and collect the fallen caps. May sound simple, and it is, but to a man the simplicity of opening a cold one and walking away without chasing a fallen bottle cap is priceless.  dropcatch.com

2. Chavel Response -XRT Heated Gloves - These are manly thick rugged work gloves, not some wimpy driving gloves. They are designed to make you look like you are heading off to climb the Matterhorn in Switzerland, or collect firewood in a rustic cabin. Which is perfect for when you end up with the in laws tailgating a Bears game in December. While others are fighting to warm their hands over a grill cooking some brats, you are comfortable in your cutting edge gloves with Alpha heat technology. Technology that automatically regulates heat production based on your hand temperature. One charge will last for 6 hours. chavelusa.com

3.  Punch Bag Laundry Bag - The heavy bag, a staple of the manly art of pugilism (boxing), hanging in your closet.  Small enough to hang in the closet, but big enough to hold a large load of laundry. A gift a man will show off every time he has to go to the laundromat or the community laundry of his first apartment. So much better than stuffing your dirty clothes into a pillowcase. Punch Bag Laundry Bag

4. Himalayan Salt Plate - Made of pink Himalayan salt, this thick amazing block absorbs heat and distributes it evenly. This will apply a juice sealing sear with a slightly salted seasoning. A great way to make sure a man will always cook you a perfect meal on the grill. True, some men do need help on the grill. I know a few guys who could use this as they have yet to master the art of cooking over open flame.  surlatable.com

5. Brunton Hydrogen Reactor - The power of atomic reactions all placed in the palm of a man's hand "HUA" (pronounced hoo'ah). It is here, the future of power, a simple hydrogen reactor. Atoms of hydrogen combining with oxygen releasing electricity with a by product of pure water. Fits easily into your pocket and perfect for the outdoors man in your life. Two Hydrogen fuel cores are equal to 30 AA batteries, that means you can fully charge an Iphone 6 times. When the power goes out in your neighborhood, while others are loosing communication with the world as their smartphones run out of power, you will be relaxing and still listening to your Itunes thanks to a portable hydrogen reactor. brunton.com

6. SteriPEN Ultra - Once again simple preparation can save the day. Whether you are lost in the woods or simply don't trust the water in that exotic vacation you are about to take the SteriPEN ultra is for you. In just 45 seconds, your water is safe to drink. Now you’re free to hike and travel wherever you want, without the need to carry or store your own water. SteriPEN is proven to be safe and effective, eliminating over 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and protozoa that cause water-borne illness. SteriPEN has earned the Water Quality Association’s Gold Seal, certifying its effectiveness. steripen.com

7. Give a Share (True Stock Ownership) - If your man is Tech guy then make him a part of the company he so happily gives his money to. Buy him a share of Apple, Google, Facebook, or any number of stocks. The lucky recipient gets the authentic stock certificate and becomes a real shareholder entitled to annual reports, declared dividends, & any shareholder perks. A cool gift that is fun, educational, & who knows, maybe profitable too! Giveashare.com

8. Shinola Watch Made in Detroit - Shinola watches and leather goods made in America. Finally a watch made in America that competes with fine Swiss watches. The Shinola company hired a swiss master watch craftsman to come to Detroit and help set up the Shinola company.  Building a 30,000 square foot watch factory was no small undertaking. Training already skilled craftsman in America how to assemble a fine watch was not that difficult. Seeing how well America would receive a simple timepiece designed to be handed down through generations was the really tough part. Shinola's initial offering sold out in two months. Now they are being carried in Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and other high end retail stores. This is the time to give this gift as next year the demand may be to high. Shinola.com

Zippers, Studs & Leather

Everything about this outfit has all of my favorite things. This jacket is my signature bright fuchsia, leather pants with zipper details (to die for), and studded pumps. This is my ideal outfit. It is totally me and makes me so happy!

These J Brand Leather Pants are so comfortable, stylish, and feel like butter. They are definitely top quality and I would have to say they are the nicest pair of leather pants I own. The Gap Wool Moto Jacket can be worn with almost anything. It is so versatile. I get many compliments every time I wear it. It is also at a great price point.
