Seeing Blue

I'm loving the bright colors for Spring.  Electric Blue eyeshadows and liners are one of Spring 2013's hottest colors.  And are one of my favorites.  They are universally flattering on any skin tone.  I say if you're going to wear it...OWN it!  Really pack on the color to get the most beautiful shades.  Finish with black eyeliner and a neutral lip tone.

Blue shadows were seen all over the runways for Spring 2013.  Shows such as Alice + Olivia, Kate Spade, Monique Lhuillier, Anna Sui, Jenny Packham and Josie Natori to name a few.

I am so excited to be a part of The Messy Project this month. I am a big fan and always look forward to seeing what the ladies do with the item that Kelly chooses every month.

The shirt dress that Kelly chose this time is not something I would not normally wear, so it was fun to experiment with it. I'm only 5'2" and I usually don't wear longer tops because I feel they make me look shorter.

I decided to wear the shirt dress open and give it a little rocker feel.  I paired it with a Star Candy Skull T-shirt, C of H Waxed Skinny Jeans and Skechers Spiked Sneaker Wedges.

Since I decided to wear it open I thought it would be cute to tie a bow in the back and give the shirt more shape. 

I'm obsessed with sneaker wedges right now.  These Skechers are so comfy, cute and stylish who could resist?!

Nordstrom Holiday Party

The Nordstrom Holiday party is my favorite way to start the season off right! 

Despite the pouring rain, the store was packed.  Nordstrom was of course thoughtful and let everyone in early so we didn't have to wait outside.

This bottle of custom Nordstrom champagne was super cute!

 

 The spa was doing a complimentary Minx Nail.  I LOVE Minx!! 

 

Let me tell you ladies...getting your shoes shined while wearing them is truly a fun experience.  I had never had this done before and I'm getting all my shoes together that need polishing and going back ASAP.  I never understood what guys were talking about.  But I sure do now!

 

As you all know I'm shoe obsessed!  A long stop int the shoe department was a must.  Dior is definitely one of my favorites.

I'd love to thank Nordstrom for, once again, a fabulous night!  Always keeping it classy and festive.

OOTD & Neiman Marcus Holiday Party

I finally took a much needed little break from work and went out with the hubs for date night.  We decided to go out to dinner, shopping and a movie.  I wanted to stop by Neiman Marcus for their holiday party and that is where we snapped this pic.

I decided to mix it up a little and pair a sequin top with a leather jacket and boots.  Cobalt blue is so on trend this season and is such a great pop of color.  It really makes the outfit come to life.  I am absolutely crazy about this jacket.  And as you all know I love bling! So I added the sequin top and my bag.  This is a great go to date night outfit.

BTW...I had to stop by and take a picture with Hunky Santa.

Crushing on Silver GlitterMiu Miu Shoes!

I can't even begin to explain how obsessed I am with these 3 pairs of Glitter Miu Miu Shoes!  They cover any and every occasion you might need to go to.  I can seriously wear glitter everyday and be a very happy little fashionista.  So, Yes Please to all of these!!

South Coast Plaza Tree Lighting

We had such a wonderful time tonight.  My husband and I went to the tree lighting for the South Coast Plaza.  We go every year!  The Segerstrom Family owns the South Coast Plaza and they run it with such class and style.  It is by far my favorite mall.  So back to the tree lighting.  First we attended a buffet dinner.  It was set up so gorgeous inside and out.  

 Upon arrival we were greeted by carolers. 

Then I got to meet Mrs. Claus & the Gingerbread Girls.

As you can see the ballroom of the Westin South Coast Plaza was decorated beautifully.  Who doesn't love an ice sculpture that looks like the carousel from the mall?  The buffet was amazing and the desserts were divine.   By the way, if you are ever in Orange County and need a place to stay I definitely recommend the Westin.

After dinner everyone received a cute Santa hat and went to watch the show.

  The show was put on by the Orange County High School for the Arts.  Featuring their Montage Orchestra.  The show was fantastic as always.  This is a very talented group of young adult entertainers.  

At the beginning of the show, they took a moment to acknowledge the troops who are not able to be with their families and loved ones, and reminded everyone to say "Thank You" if you should see any service members while you are out and about this season.

I love how the Segerstrom family loves to keep with traditions and is so family oriented.

  

The big moment was here!  The lighting of the tree!  If I do say so myself, it is the most beautiful tree ever and it is every year.  This year the tree is 96 feet tall and has over 20,000 lights.  It is breathtaking!!

Cusp opens in Neiman Marcus Fashion Island!

Cusp is a contemporary concept by Neiman Marcus.  Cusp hand delivers the latest must-haves from leading designers, plus the best up and coming names.  I know that I am a regular at their free standing location in the Century City Mall.  You can always find the cutest outfits there, and if I ever need a LBD, I'm sure to find one at Cusp.

I was invited to the Opening Party of Cusp at Neiman Marcus in Fashion Island.  Let me tell you, Cusp really knows how to throw a party!  There were so many goodies to eat and drink.  On top of that they had a lipstick reader, manicure stations, & blow outs. And of course some fierce fashion!
