Spring 2015 Trend Event Neiman Marcus Fashion Show

I always look forward to the Spring and Fall Trend Event Fashion Shows at Neiman Marcus. They seriously have the best fashion and shows. I'm sorry these pictures are not better. I took them with my iPhone as I didn't have my camera.

I had the best seat in the house!! I was the first seat in the front row! So awesome!

These are some of the Judith Leiber clutches that displayed at the show. I have a serious weakness for Judith Leiber. As you know swarovski rhinestones make me swoon. The highlight of my night was the head designer from Judith Lieber,who flew out to speak at the show. She is an incredibly talented woman. But the best part was when she noticed my glitter YSL boots, she stopped talking and said "Those are the most amazing boots. If I was going to design boots that's exactly what I would make". My life is now complete.

 The jacket is Valentino. I'm not a big fan of fur, but this jacket is just gorgeous. In between the fur panels is lace and the color of pink is stunning.

This Tom Ford Jersey Dress is so different. It's super sparkly and such a cute idea for a dress. Love those purple shoes!

The color of these J Brand Leggings is perfect for spring. But these Louboutin shoes! Wow! The colors and fringe are so fun!

This dress is absolutely stunning! All white is another huge trend for spring.

Sephora Haul February

1. Anthony Blue Sea Kelp Scrub

This is a great scrub for your body. I bought this for my husband, but I have to admit between the color, smell and how great it actually works I borrow this one all the time.

2. Jack Black Double-Duty Face Moisturizer SPF 20

I also bought this one for my husband. He uses it daily. I've used it while on vacation (when I don't carry my regular one with me) and it is very light, dries fast and does moisturize.

3. Jack Black DIY Power Peel

I bought this peel to put on my hands. They've been quite dry this winter. I wanted something to exfoliate that wasn't a scrub. My skin is kind of sensitive. I've used this a couple times and my hands are looking much better already!

4. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Body

You put this on in the shower, rub it in, wait a couple minutes and you have smooth skin! Great product.

5. Kate Somerville Mega C Dual Radience Serum

I also bought this cream for my hands. It is definitely making them smoother and brighter. Love it!

6. Bamboo Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist

This is one of my favorite hair products. This spray is beyond fantastic. It makes my hair very smooth and shiny.

7. Bamboo Anit-Breakage Thermal Protectant Spray

I use this every time I wash and dry my hair. It is very light and doesn't weigh my hair down. I feel that it does a great job in keeping my hair healthy.

8. Lancome Absolue Day Cream SPF 15

I have been using this cream for years. It's a little on the heavier side, but I love that it totally moisturizes my skin.

Star Candy Rocks Hustler Hollywood

As we all know Valentine's day is a time to celebrate love and romance with flowers, chocolate, an elegant dinner, and a reason to wear way to high to be safe heels (what a glorious holiday). Let's not forget Valentine's Day should have some playful sexy fun. So I headed over to the Hustler Hollywood Store on the famous Sunset Strip. It is even more special for me since my line, Star Candy, is sold there. Whether you are more on the timid side or like to live daring this store has what you want and it is all displayed with taste.  I, of course, recommend Star Candy as it is designed to have that flirty fun side all guys love. I don't think the ladies realize how much guys love BLING on their date's booties. They think it's fun and sexy...so I've heard from many guys.

"Get to Spanking" is one of our newest pairs. It's perfect for that 50 Shades of Grey theme! Don't think it is just a coincidence 50 Shades is opening on Valentine's weekend.

I absolutely LOVE this skull pair! It's a new one too! I wear skulls a lot...Love having a little attitude.

This pair is perfect for the shoe department. Who is not happy while sitting in the middle of a sea of shoes!! This is really one of the cutest pairs of undies Star Candy makes.

What a fun pair. What else would he be doing.

I love this Hustler hoodie! It is so soft and comfy. They have a great selection of clothes.

As you saw in the previous pictures Hustler has quite the shoe department, but these really caught my eye. So super cute and hot! I think the High Heeled Brunette needs these.

Funky leopard couch. Enough said. Just absolutely rockin'! Hustler encourages you to relax and just enjoy the store.

Chillin' with a cappucino after my shoot in the Hustler Coffee Shop/Bakery. They have the best coffee and yummy sweets! The barista was super cool too. This store really has everything!!! It's more than just a "sex" store. It is a fun place to shop where you can find cool things to wear such as jewelry, sunglasses, clothing, men's clothing, a small assortment of bags and a fun section of coffee table books.

So nice to just hang out on Sunset, during a fab sunset! Watching all the hustle and bustle of the Sunset Strip.

So lets all have some fun and enjoy the day of love and romance.

On the Fringe

It is a beautiful day here in LA and I just picked up one of the hottest looks out right now. My fringe vest (thank you Cusp)! I can't tell you enough about how fantastic this piece is. The leather is super supple and I love the layers of fringe. Many of you have seen the fringe styles coming and if you are anything like me you will embrace it.

Fringe originally became popular with the flappers of the 1920's. It symbolized a women on the go. Later it was popular with Go Go dancers of the sixties, and performers have always embraced it. Reason why? It is simple, Fringe is made for movement. When a girl walks fringe will bounce and sway with her rhythm. It simply states I am a girl on the move and I should be noticed for it. Yes all the designers and celebrities are all jumping on this trend.

Bold glasses and cherry red lips are a staple for any look.
Quick side note: This is one of my favorite views in Los Angeles. Looking at the buildings of Century City. Tall building on the far right ---Candy Spelling supposedly owns the top two floors. First tall building to left of it is the Fox Plaza or the Die Hard building. This is where the original Die Hard movie was filmed, back when Bruce Willis had hair. 

Love my Fringe, but let's not forget I do have a bit of a shoe thing going on too. Gold Glitter YSL boots, my current fave shoes.

I wish you could see me walk. This vest is amazing.

Sephora Haul January

I had a lot of fun at Sephora recently. Some of these are my old favorites and a couple are new products for me.

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
I love this primer. It makes my makeup go on easily and has a very nice smooth finish. It also helps my foundation stay on all day. This primer does not feel heavy.

2. Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner
I have been looking for a great eyeliner to help me make a fab cat eye. This liner is so spectacular there are no words. It is a gel and has a rubber tip that aids in the application. Very easy to use.

3. Lancome Teint Idol Ultra 24Hr Makeup (Foundation)
Lancome is one of the only foundations I have found that are light enough to match my skin. I love the teint idol because it goes on matte with just a touch of glow. It also really does last all day.

4. YSL Touche Eclat
This concealer has changed my makeup game. There are no words to describe how wonderful it really is. It goes on so smooth and does not settle into fine lines. It is also full coverage.

5. Lancome Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Sapphire
Brightest blue eyeliner!! I'm in love. It stays on forever!

6. Lancome Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Amethyst
Great color purple. Does not make my eyes look red at all. Stays on all day.

7. Make Up Forever Sens Eyes
I have very sensitive skin under my eyes. This is one of the only eye makeup removers I can use. If you have sensitive skin you should really try this.

8. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo
This brow powder is amazing! All of Anastsia's products are amazing. I am lucky enough to live near her store and have actually had the honor of her personally doing my brows.

Men's Gift Guide

This is the High Heeled Brunette's Husband and I have been given the task of telling you what men would like for the holidays this year. First you have to understand a little bit about me. I am well educated and enjoy my work, I am lucky enough to have married a girl who keeps me interested and I am never bored. I have served in the U.S. Military and appreciate what I have. I am a man or a guy, not a dude. I don't bromance or understand the point in reality T.V. 
But here are some suggestions for decent holiday gifts the man in your life should appreciate.

The Art of Shaving Travel Essentials Kit.  The travel kit is the perfect size. All the products from The Art Shaving require a very small amount to get the perfect shave. I find the full size are just too big. The kit includes Pre-shave Oil, Shaving Cream, After Shave Balm, and the one thing that actually gives shaving that old school touch a bristle brush. Of course if your man has totally embraced Movember this is a subtle hint it is time to clean up.

To really impress your man pick up pair of good seats to his favorite sporting event. Knowing his favorite sports should be simple to really impress him. Find out what is favorite team is or the team he really does not like and pick up tickets for that game. Hint: for The High Heeled Brunette - Kings vs Blackhawks. Just go to Stubhub. It does not matter if the game isn't for months, he will just celebrate all over again and tell everyone how cool you are.

Shoes. Yes, I know that is the domain of you ladies. What I am talking about is not some pair of athletic shoes which can only mean one of two things, you think we need to spend more (or some) time in the gym or you are still with a dude who thinks the new pair of Air Jordans looks good with a suit. So show the world and your date some respect and put on a pair of nice shoes with some polish if needed. 
Just because you have decided to play with the big boys does not mean you have to give up attitude. These Jimmy Choo's feature embossed stars and not shown here, but the toe of the sole has 5 studded stars on it as well.

A watch. Some people have decided a watch is impractical. If they want to know what time it is they will just look at their phone. When you are talking to someone and you pull out your phone to look at the time, it is rude. You are basically saying I am bored, wondering how long have I been here or when can I finally leave. A watch is much more subtle. A quick glance is barely noticed. 
I like to keep my watch simple. The Shinola above is cool in that it is made in Detroit of Swiss parts. All it tells is time and has a seconds hand. Simple and sophisticated.

Here we have the Bose Bluetooth miniature speaker. It fits in the palm of a hand, but has the patented Bose technology. Very big clear sound from a small device. The bluetooth really makes this item great. Going out to grill up some steaks listening to your Pandora on the weak speakers of your smart phone is just plain unacceptable. Pull this out and your bluetooth automatically connects and it is time to rock that grill.

Here we go.... time embrace his inner nerd. Does not matter how old a guy is we all recognize the Deathstar. When it is time to put your nice clothes on and go out to an elegant affair it is nice to have a subtle piece of personality.

Here is a practical and very unique wallet from Wurking Stiff. In this day of Identity Wurking Stiff created a wallet made of quality embossed leather that is alloyed metals fused inside to prevent identity theft. I personally really like the flash of red on the inside, makes every purchase look like a big one.
